Dumbasses of the Day:Pornstars buying LCD TV For $3.00

Porno movie dispute lands woman in jail

A woman is accused of chasing her boyfriend with a knife after thinking he was an actor in a pornographic movie they were watching together.

The victim says it all started when he and his girlfriend were inside his southwest Albuquerque home watching a pornographic move at 10:30 Wednesday morning.

That’s when the victim called 911 saying his girlfriend, 20-year-old Amanda Moya, had a knife.

“She almost shanked me and everything. She put the (expletive) knife right under my throat," the victim told a 911 operator.

The victim, wearing only a pair of shorts took off down Five Points, begging the 911 dispatcher for help.

He said Moya had already stabbed him in the face and bitten him on his chest.

“She already has battery charges against her. She's not even supposed to be around me," the victim said.

The dispatcher told the victim to keep running and try to get inside a store.

The victim made it to a business parking lot at Bridge and Sunset with Moya still on his trail when he was able to flag down a deputy who was headed to the victim’s residence.

Deputies arrested Moya and charged her with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

She was also charged with child abuse because deputies say she left her eight-month-old boy alone in the home while she chased her boyfriend down the road.

Kirksville man accused of switching water bottle's UPC_code with $500 TV
Published: Friday, April 25, 2008 1:40 PM CDT

KIRKSVILLE - A Kirksville man faces a felony indictment after trying to purchase a LCD television for less than $3 by allegedly replacing its UPC code with that of a water bottle.

Reginald Newman, 44, was indicted Monday by the Adair County Grand Jury and has been charged with attempted stealing by deceit.

According to documents filed in Adair County Circuit Court, Newman allegedly tried to purchase a 26-inch Viore LCD television from Wal-Mart, claiming the UPC code valued at $3.16 was the proper code the television, which normally sells for more than $517.

If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison, a fine of up to $5,000 or any combination of the two.

He is in custody at the Adair County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash-only bond.

The grand jury also indicted a Novinger, Mo., man on two counts of felony forgery.

David Novinger, 45, was arrested Wednesday for writing checks on two accounts that were not his own.

He is also in custody at the Detention Center on a $25,000 cash-only bond.

Pics o'Day: Life before Death

This sombre series of portraits taken of people before and after they had died is a challenging and poignant study. The work by German photographer Walter Schels and his partner Beate Lakotta, who recorded interviews with the subjects in their final days, reveals much about dying - and living. Life Before Death is at the Wellcome Collection from April 9-May 18,2008

Ghastly Delivery:Project Facade

An Approach to Artistic Response
Since 2004, Paddy Hartley has created sculptural responses to the patient records of The Gillies Archive and later life experiences of First World War Servicemen who underwent facial reconstructive surgery at the hand of New Zealander Sir Harold Delf Gillies and his surgical team. The Gillies Archive collated by Dr Andrew Bamji is housed at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup (QMH) and provide a rare and unique insight into the origins and development of surgical facial reconstruction techniques pioneered Gillies.

The 'Positives' of Conflict
Though it is hard to find any positive aspects of the effects of war and conflict on society as a whole, it is without question that the surgical techniques pioneered by Gillies and his team to repair the horrific facial injuries inflicted upon Servicemen formed the foundation of modern-day facial reconstruction from which many tens of thousands of people have benefited. It is important to add that the groundbreaking work of Gillies predates the remarkable work of Gillies cousin, Archibald McIndoe and his association with The Guinea Pig Club during World War Two.

A Global Acknowledgement
The First World War was a truly global conflict and is reflected in the case histories of Servicemen treated at QMH. In addition to the records of Servicemen from the United Kingdom, The Gillies Archive holds the records of New Zealand and Canadian Servicemen. The Royal College of Surgeons Australia in Melbourne holds the records of Australian Servicemen and Hartley has responded to individual case histories of men from across the services and across the Commonwealth. This project is not a commemoration of Commonwealth valour as Hartley is attempting to trace any records and family memories of similarly injured men from other nations involved in the conflict including Germany, France, Russia and the United States.

The Process of 'Making and Interpretation'
An examination and familiarization with particular servicemen's case histories has resulted in the production of 16 sculptural, embroidered garments for the face and upper torso derived from the Military uniforms which the Servicemen wore, the cloth of these sculptural garments being representative of the skin. These 16 pieces tell the stories of 10 servicemen and over the coming years, new stories of additional servicemen will be interpreted and produced. A major aim of the project is to try to trace family members of some of the servicemen treated by Gillies and his team during this period and tell some of the personal stories and recollections of how these extraordinary men coped with their injuries in everyday life. The sculptures are constructed from authentic and replica uniforms from as close to the period as possible and tell fragmented stories of individual Commonwealth Servicemen who suffered major facial trauma and who underwent facial reconstructive surgery. These sculptural garments incorporate digitally printed and digitally embroidered images taken directly from records held at the archive that include photographs, surgical sketches by artist/surgeons such as Henry Tonks, hand written notes along with official and unofficial follow up photographs. Surgical techniques such as the use of the tubed pedicle to transport skin from other parts of the body to the face feature heavily in the work.

Wearing of History
The face, particularly in the case of these Servicemen can tell a lot about the person and their life experiences. It can be said that a person wears their history on their face. The same can be said about the uniforms. The very nature of the uniform removes the personality of the wearer and, amongst other uniformed men, one becomes a mere unit. However, throughout the active service of an individual, the service history of the person is built into the garment, not just through natural wear and tear, but also through the addition of rank, insignia, service chevrons, wound bars and medals. It is this individuality that Hartley has built into his sculptures. As the Servicemen must retain a degree of anonymity, details that allude to the individual's stories will hint to the identity of the men. When dealing with the Servicemen of the First World War, names to a certain degree become unimportant as the soldier, sailor and airman of this conflict really was the typical 'Everyman'.

It is important to add that Paddy does not seek to recreate, nor sensationalize the horrific injuries of these extraordinary men, but to illustrate and contextualize the treatments they endured in the surgical pursuit of regaining a face that was as recognizable as their own before they were injured as was possible and how they coped with their rehabilitation back into society.

Dumbasses of the Day: Bugged CD player & Don't ask for directions

Tampa Woman's 911 Calls Answered With Arrest
By JOSH POLTILOVE | The Tampa Tribune
Published: April 24, 2008

TAMPA - A Tampa woman who has called 911 about 20 times since March 22 dialed the number again this morning to report her CD player was bugged and that her mobile home park was listening to her, Hillsborough County deputies say.
When a deputy came to the scene and wouldn't listen to her radio, she called 911 again.
Deputies arrested Denise Ann Dean, 36, at 1:35 a.m. at 14011 N. Nebraska Ave., Lot 39
She was charged with making a false 911 call, a misdemeanor.
She remained in Falkenburg Road Jail today. Her bail was set at $500.
In a separate incident this morning, University of South Florida police officers arrested a Tampa man they say made harassing phone calls to their station.
Jacob N. Jones, 24, called USF's station about 20 times after he received a traffic summons Tuesday, a criminal arrest affidavit states.
Jones told police during the calls that he repeatedly would call to make up for the amount of the ticket, according to the affidavit.
Police arrested Jones at 3:33 a.m. He is a student and lives on campus, where he was arrested, the jail's Web site shows.
The charge against him, harassing telephone calls, is a misdemeanor.
Jones remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail was set at $250.

Carjacker asks TV crew for directions, police say
CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) -- A carjacking suspect stopped during the crime to ask a television news crew for directions, police said.
The 19-year-old was arraigned Thursday on a charge of aggravated robbery and ordered held on $50,000 bond.
WOIO-TV newswoman Shannon O'Brien and photographer Eric Walls were doing a sidewalk report Monday on bank problems when the passenger in a car asked for directions to a bank.
The driver signaled that he was being held at gunpoint, O'Brien told police.
The news crew called police and followed the car until officers caught up. Police Lt. Thomas Stacho said the suspect was carrying a loaded handgun.

Ghastly Delivery: Two headed Dog

**A Note, I don't condone ANY Violence towards animals, I Love Dogs...that is whole different story**

In 1954 Vladimir Demikhov shocked the world by unveiling a surgically created monstrosity: A two-headed dog. He created the creature in a lab on the outskirts of Moscow by grafting the head, shoulders, and front legs of a puppy onto the neck of a mature German shepherd. Demikhov paraded the dog before reporters from around the world. Journalists gasped as both heads simultaneously lapped at bowls of milk, and then cringed as the milk from the puppy's head dribbled out the unconnected stump of its esophageal tube. The Soviet Union proudly boasted that the dog was proof of their nation's medical preeminence.

Over the course of the next fifteen years, Demikhov created a total of twenty of his two-headed dogs. None of them lived very long, as they inevitably succumbed to problems of tissue rejection. The record was a month. Demikhov explained that the dogs were part of a continuing series of experiments in surgical techniques, with his ultimate goal being to learn how to perform a human heart and lung transplant. Another surgeon beat him to this goal — Dr. Christian Baarnard in 1967 — but Demikhov is widely credited with paving the way for it.

Dumbass of the Day-Weight Watcher shoplifts Cupcakes

Weight Watchers demonstrator accused of shoplifting cupcakes at Port St. Lucie Publix

PORT ST. LUCIE — A woman involved in a Weight Watchers demo at a Publix was arrested after shoplifting cupcakes and other items, according to a police report obtained Friday.

A loss prevention official told police that Kelly L. Barber, 47, was in the store in the 3200 block of Southwest Port St. Lucie Boulevard Thursday “conducting a demo for Weight Watchers.”

The loss prevention official said she saw Barber “conceal store items” in a blue bin and leave the store without paying for the goods, which included Weight Watchers cupcakes, a book and teeth whitening strips.

“When questioned, Kelly explained she just wanted to whiten her teeth and stated it was stupid she stole the items as she had never done this before,” the report states. “Kelly did not have an explanation for all the other items.”

Barber, of the 1700 block of Southeast Linwood Avenue in Fort Pierce, faces a retail theft charge.

WTF? Second Shot-Penis Theft!!

Lynchings in Congo as penis theft panic hits capital
Tue Apr 22, 2008 6:22pm BST

KINSHASA (Reuters) - Police in Congo have arrested 13 suspected sorcerers accused of using black magic to steal or shrink men's penises after a wave of panic and attempted lynchings triggered by the alleged witchcraft.

Reports of so-called penis snatching are not uncommon in West Africa, where belief in traditional religions and witchcraft remains widespread, and where ritual killings to obtain blood or body parts still occur.

Rumours of penis theft began circulating last week in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo's sprawling capital of some 8 million inhabitants. They quickly dominated radio call-in shows, with listeners advised to beware of fellow passengers in communal taxis wearing gold rings.

Purported victims, 14 of whom were also detained by police, claimed that sorcerers simply touched them to make their genitals shrink or disappear, in what some residents said was an attempt to extort cash with the promise of a cure.

"You just have to be accused of that, and people come after you. We've had a number of attempted lynchings. ... You see them covered in marks after being beaten," Kinshasa's police chief, Jean-Dieudonne Oleko, told Reuters on Tuesday.

Police arrested the accused sorcerers and their victims in an effort to avoid the sort of bloodshed seen in Ghana a decade ago, when 12 suspected penis snatchers were beaten to death by angry mobs. The 27 men have since been released.

"I'm tempted to say it's one huge joke," Oleko said.

"But when you try to tell the victims that their penises are still there, they tell you that it's become tiny or that they've become impotent. To that I tell them, 'How do you know if you haven't gone home and tried it'," he said.

Some Kinshasa residents accuse a separatist sect from nearby Bas-Congo province of being behind the witchcraft in revenge for a recent government crackdown on its members.

"It's real. Just yesterday here, there was a man who was a victim. We saw. What was left was tiny," said 29-year-old Alain Kalala, who sells phone credits near a Kinshasa police station.

WTF? Granny used in Gangsta Rap Video

Granny Get Your Gun
Florida man charged with filming 85-year-old woman for gangsta video

APRIL 23--A Florida man is facing elder abuse charges after he allegedly filmed his senile 85-year-old grandmother wearing a ski mask and holding a gun for a "Gangstas and Thugs" street DVD series. Michael Alfinez, 18, was arrested yesterday by Palm Beach sheriff's deputies, who began their probe after a troubling video was seized earlier this year during a traffic stop. According to a sheriff's report, a copy of which you'll find below, Alfinez admitted filming his grandmother, Marie Huertas, and placing a ski mask on the senior citizen. He also acknowledged telling Huertas what to say on the video. Alfinez is pictured in the mug shot at right; Huertas, in a ski mask, can be seen in the adjacent video screen grab. The report notes that Huertas, who is holding a .22-caliber gun and appears "disoriented" in the video, makes a series of profane threats and statements like, "Fuck you if you don't like this," "I'll shoot you," and "Palm Beach County, bitch." When investigators showed Huertas the video, "she appeared to be shocked" at her recorded comments, and remarked, "they are making a criminal out of me." In addition to the abuse charge, Alfinez is facing weapons charges since the video also shows him (and two pals) firing a gun from a moving vehicle. Alfinez said that he got the idea to film his grandmother from an earlier "Gangstas and Thugs" production (which apparently featured another pensioner). Alfinez told investigators that he "knew my grandma could be like that too or better."

Kick Ass Of the Day: Builder Destorys Porch Over Bounced Check

Now That is Freakin' Awesome!! The Bitch is at the bottom of the article..Enjoy

Builder destroys porch over debt
By Aislinn Simpson
Last Updated: 1:55am BST 23/04/2008

A builder who was not paid for the £22,000 porch and conservatory he built for a customer has taken revenge by demolishing his own handiwork.

Nigel Gray, who is self employed, repeatedly asked Anita Dovey for payment for the improvements he made to her terraced council house.

But after falsely claiming her husband had died, then sending him a cheque that bounced, she failed to respond to his pleas.

This week, Mr Gray took decisive action and, with the backing of the local council, set about the porch and conservatory he built with an 18lb sledgehammer.

“It gave me a great deal of satisfaction to watch them come crumbling down - but it was also galling to see my own work destroyed,” said Mr Gray. “Mine is a little company, and I’ve had to deal with a £22,000 deficit at one of the worst times of the year. I’ve taken a massive hit. Meanwhile, she’s been lounging around in my conservatory, loving it.

“It looked absolutely stunning, if I do say so myself. To see it on the floor like a bomb had gone off was upsetting. But I’d rather that than let her enjoy the fruits of my unpaid labour.”

As Mr Gray laid waste to the front of her house, in Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex, Mrs Dovey watched television in her living room.

She brought in his firm, Nigel Gray Windows and Conservatories - which has been operating for 22 years and has gained a good reputation with clients - to install a large conservatory at the rear of her house in December.

During construction, she asked Mr Gray to add a porch to the front. Once the job was done, he spent months sending payment reminders and eventually threatening legal action, but to no avail.

Mr Gray, who has a wife and four children, said: “I’ve lost a hell of a lot of money out of this woman. I’m on my own.

“If she had picked a multi-national company, they might have been able to write off a debt like that, but not me.

“In fairness to the council, they gave me their full backing to tear down the work - and even told me to leave the rubble on her doorstep.”

Mrs Dovey refused to comment on the debacle.

A spokesman for West Sussex County Council said: “Council tenants are allowed to make improvements to their homes. Unfortunately in this case, the private agreement has gone wrong. Mrs Dovey will be billed the cost of returning the property to its original state.”

Dumbass of the Day-Man Pumps gas into Imaginary Car

Man Arrested After Pumping Gas Into Imaginary Car
POSTED: 10:38 am EDT April 21, 2008
UPDATED: 3:53 pm EDT April 21, 2008

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Frankfort man was arrested on drug trafficking charges early Sunday morning after he was reportedly pumping gas into an imaginary vehicle.

According to the arrest report, Metro Police arrived at a gas station at First and Jefferson streets in Louisville and immediately smelled marijuana coming from Joshua L. Moore, who station clerks contend was filling up an imaginary vehicle.

Officers searched Moore and found "two large baggies" of marijuana and a large amount of Ecstasy. Police said Moore also had a cell phone and a large amount of money, which they said was indicative of trafficking.

Police said that more narcotics were located on Moore when he was being booked into Metro Corrections.

Moore, 25, was charged with three counts of trafficking.

Dumbass of the Day-Um,I Have a Sex Toy...

CNN'S QUEST A VERY 'KNOTTY' BOY
By DAREH GREGORIAN and PHILIP MESSING
April 19, 2008

This is CNN? Kinky!

CNN personality Richard Quest was busted in Central Park early yesterday with some drugs in his pocket, a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals, and a sex toy in his boot, law-enforcement sources said.

Quest, 46, was arrested at around 3:40 a.m. after a cop spotted him and another man inside the park near 64th Street, a police source said.

The criminal complaint against Quest said the park was closed at the time - something Quest should have known because of all the signs saying "Park Closed 1 a.m. to 6 a.m."

Quest was initially busted for loitering, the source said. Aside from the oddly configured rope, the search also turned up a sex toy inside of his boot, and a small bag of methamphetamine in his left jacket pocket.

It wasn't immediately clear what the rope was for.

The criminal complaint says the officer at the scene was able to ID the drug because of "his prior experience as a police officer in drug arrests, observation of packaging which is characteristic of this type of drug, and defendant's statements that . . . 'I've got some meth in my pocket.' "

He was charged with loitering and criminal possession of a controlled substance. His unusual get-up didn't lead to a lewdness charge because he wasn't exposing himself, the police source said.

Quest's unidentified companion was given a summons for not carrying any identification, the source said.

Quest's lawyer, Alan Abramson, had a much more innocuous version of events.

"Mr. Quest didn't realize that the park had a curfew," Abramson said. He was simply "returning to his hotel with friends."

At a hearing in Manhattan Criminal Court, Quest agreed to undergo six months of drug counseling in return for an "adjournment in contemplation of dismissal," which means the misdemeanor charges against him will be dropped and the case sealed if he stays out of trouble and completes his drug program.

He was released with no bail after spending most of the day behind bars.

Abramson predicted after the hearing that "the case will be dismissed." He declined to answer questions.

Quest, known for his hollering antics and stunts on the cable news network and its international counterpart, declined comment, as did a CNN spokeswoman.

On his official CNN bio, the network calls him "one of the most instantly recognizable members of the CNN team."

"He has become one of the network's highest profile presenters," and his "dynamic and distinctive style has made him a unique figure in the field of business and news broadcasting," the network's Web site says.

He was reportedly once offered a position for the English-language version of the controversial Al Jazeera network, but said he turned it down because being gay and Jewish, he didn't think it would be a good fit.
